Green spaces are a great benefit to our environment. They filter pollutants and dust from the air, they provide shade and lower temperatures in urban areas, and they even reduce erosion of soil into our waterways. These are just a few of the environmental benefits that green spaces provide.

Urban advantages. More green space within a city’s boundaries can improve the urban environment. Among the green space advantages listed in EcoPlanIT Madison: Green Space Goal (UW-Madison Department of Urban and Regional Planning) are: helping regulate air quality and climate…reducing energy consumption by countering the warming effects of paved surfaces….recharging groundwater supplies and protecting lakes and streams from polluted run off.Water quality protection. Proper landscaping reduces nitrate leaching from the soil into the water supply and reduces surface water runoff, keeping phosphorus and other pollutants out of our waterways and preventing septic system overload.

                Reduced heat buildup. Trees in a parking lot can reduce on-site heat buildup, decrease runoff and enhance night time cool downs. Tests in a mall parking lot in Huntsville, Ala. showed a 31 degree difference between shaded and unshadedareas.Reduced soil erosion. A dense cover of plants and mulch holds soil in place, keeping sediment out of lakes, streams, storm drains and roads; and reducing flooding, mudslides and dust storms.Improved air quality. Trees, shrubs and turf remove smoke, dust and other pollutants from the air. One tree can remove 26 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere annually, equaling 11,000 miles of car emissions. One study showed that one acre of trees has the ability to remove 13 tons of particles and gases annually. 2,500 square feet of turf absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and releases enough oxygen for a family of four to breathe.

Lower attic temperatures. Trees shading homes can reduce attic temperatures as much as 40 degrees. According to the EPA, urban forests reduce urban air temperatures significantly by shading heat sinks such as buildings and concrete and returning humidity to the air through evaporative cooling.Natural resource conservation. By using trees to modify temperatures, the amount of fossil fuels used for cooling and heating is reduced.

It’s true that fast food restaurants offer foods that are fattening and considerably unhealthy, but I believe they are still worth having in society since they provide several overlooked benefits. One obvious positive effect to having fast food restaurants is that they are reasonably cheap and affordable to most if not all of the Malaysian population. Not only Malaysian citizens benefit from their inexpensive food, since fast food has become a global phenomenon. During this economic recession every cent counts, and families with financial pressures are looking for the best deals out there.

Fast food is definitely the best choice, since it appeals to kids’ picky tastes, and their parent’s tight budget. Fast food restaurants make food so cheap, that they can afford to have a ringgit or value menu, enabling people to have a whole meal for only a few bucks. Besides the low cost of fast food restaurants, the size of the meal you order makes a huge difference. Fast food restaurants give you the best for your buck because the fast food portions are enormous, and ensure your satisfaction.

In society fast food has a direct link to obesity, since they offer foods that are considered unhealthy. However if you pay attention to their menus there are healthier alternatives as well. Fast food restaurants provide healthier alternatives such as grilled chicken sandwiches, low-fat yogurt, fruit cups and various different types of fresh salads. It is also easier to be aware of what you are eating at fast food restaurants compared to regular restaurants, since they  have to show the nutrition facts. Having this information will allow you to make better choices and eat healthier.

Fast food chains help the economy greatly not just in the Malaysia but everywhere those fast food restaurants are present. Even though fast food is cheap it makes a lot of business, and employs a massive amount of workers. In 2008 alone fast food companies hired two million workers just in the United States. Also the fast food industries hire millions of workers world wide.

Negative effects of facebook.

The internet has become a huge part of our everyday lives. We use it for almost everything including research, pleasure, social networking, and so much more. It has become a way of life. I spend a lot of my own free time browsing the internet. The social networking site Facebook is among one of the most popular sites visited. According to Wikipedia, there are over one billion active users, myself included. Even as popular as it is, I think there are many negative effects it can have on our lives.

One negative effect Facebook has on us is it diminishes our ability to communicate. I’m not suggesting you should not communicate through it, but I do not think your life should revolve around communication through this website. Facebook makes it extremely easy to find and keep in contact with friends and family. With that said, it keeps us away from interacting outside of the internet. We now send out email invites to parties and celebrations through here, chat instead of making the phone call, and send emails instead of writing a letter. A lack of face-to-face communication can really hurt the way we interact with people. We may not realize this at first, but it becomes apparent when we feel awkward trying to actually speak to someone. It increases antisocial tendencies because there is no longer direct communication with another person.

I think the biggest, negative impact Facebook has on our lives is loss of privacy. For instance, if you do not set your profile to private, anybody has access to every piece of information you decide to share. Potential employers can easily search for you here and find all of your personal information, including some posts or pictures that may ruin your chances of getting a job. One negative post can affect the way people perceive you as a person. Even if you do set your profile to private, there are still ways people manage to see things you are doing on here. An example would be if a friend of yours “likes” a photo or status you have, it will notify their friends of this, therefore the privacy setting is overthrown. You have to be careful as to what you actually want to share for anybody to see.

Deforestation causes a lot of environmental problem

Deforestation is the cutting down of trees and large scale clearing of forests in an area. it is one of the deadly dangerous problem face in this twenty first century. This problem is widely spread around the globe. Trees are important to us both domestically and economically. This need for trees resulted in deforestation.

We can point out many reasons which cause deforestation. Some of these are Increase in the population level: population level has raised a lot in the last few decades. This population rise has caused a large scale cutting of trees and led to decrease in the forest area. Every individual requires a lot of facilities which increased the number of buildings, houses and plots. This is one of the deadliest causes which may rise in the coming years. Fuels and other resources: Wood and trees can be used as a fuel. Mainly in rural areas where other resources are not available people cut down trees and this causes deforestation in a large scale. Agriculture: Agriculture has a major impact on deforestation. More and more land are cleared mainly for agricultural purposes which include mainly forested areas.

Deforestation affects our planet the earth in a variety of ways they are they causes climatic changes and loss our biodiversity. Now let us take look at these problems in detail .Climatic changes: deforestation adds green house gases in the environment which is harmful. Green house gases trap the sun’s heat which in turn makes the earth hotter and change the climate across the planet. This is called global warming. To remove green house gases from the atmosphere more and more trees need to be planted. Also if the trees are destroyed the causes floods and other problems.

Loss of Biodiversity: Biodiversity is a place where all kinds of biotic as well as non biotic factors in one place. If more and more trees are cut the entire plant species may get wiped out. Moreover the people living in the forested area the tribal  who are dependent on the forest resources may be worst affected. They do not have any other resource to depend thus their survival may possess some problems.

Mobile phone users may be placing there health at risk from electromagnetic radiation.According to recent medical study symptoms such as fatigue, headachs, burning sensation on the skin,are common among those who make longer mobile phone calls.At the same time there are a growing number of unconfirmed reports of individuals whose health has been affected after chronic frequent use of mobile phones,pesumable from radiation effects on their bodies

A cellular phone is basically a radio that sends signals on waves to a base station. The carrier signal generates two types of radiation fields: a near-field plume and a far-field plume. Living organisms, too, generate electromagnetic fields at the cellular, tissue, organ, and organism level; this is called the biofield. Both the near-field and far-field plumes from cell phones and in the environment can wreak havoc with the human biofield, and when the biofield is compromised in any way, says Dr. Carlo, so is metabolism and physiology.

“The near field plume is the one we’re most concerned with. This plume that’s generated within five or six inches of the center of a cell phone’s antenna is determined by the amount of power necessary to carry the signal to the base station,” he explains. “The more power there is, the farther the plume radiates the dangerous information-carrying radio waves.”

A carrier wave oscillates at 1900 megahertz (MHz) in most phones, which is mostly invisible to our biological tissue and doesn’t do damage. The information-carrying secondary wave necessary to interpret voice or data is the problem, says Dr. Carlo. That wave cycles in a hertz (Hz) range familiar to the body. Your heart, for example, beats at two cycles per second, or two Hz. Our bodies recognize the information-carrying wave as an “invader,” setting in place protective biochemical reactions that alter physiology and cause biological problems that include intracellular free-radical buildup, leakage in the blood-brain barrier, genetic damage, disruption of intercellular communication, and an increase in the risk of tumors. The health dangers of recognizing the signal, therefore, aren’t from direct damage, but rather are due to the biochemical responses in the cell.

Here’s what happens:

• Cellular energy is now used for protection rather than metabolism. Cell membranes harden, keeping nutrients out and waste products in.
• Waste accumulating inside the cells creates a higher concentration of free radicals, leading to both disruption of DNA repair (micronuclei) and cellular dysfunction.
• Unwanted cell death occurs, releasing the micronuclei from the disrupted DNA repair into the fluid between cells (interstitial fluid), where they are free to replicate and proliferate. This, says Dr. Carlo, is the most likely mechanism that contributes to cancer.
• Damage occurs to proteins on the cell membrane, resulting in disruption of intercellular communication. When cells can’t communicate with each other, the result is impaired tissue, organ, and organism function. In the blood-brain barrier, for example, cells can’t keep dangerous chemicals from reaching the brain tissue, which results in damage.

With the background levels of information-carrying radio waves dramatically increasing because of the widespread use of cell phones,Wi-Fi, and other wireless communication, the effects from the near and far-fields are very similar. Overall, says Dr. Carlo, almost all of the acute and chronic symptoms seen in electrosensitive patients can be explained in some part by disrupted intercellular communication. These symptoms of electrosensitivity include inability to sleep, general malaise, and headaches. Could this explain the increase in recent years of conditions such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, and anxiety disorder?

“One thing all these conditions have in common is a disruption, to varying degrees, of intercellular communication. When we were growing up, TV antennas were on top of our houses and such waves were up in the sky. Cell phones and Wi-Fi have brought those things down to the street, integrated them into the environment, and that’s absolutely new. The recognition mechanism, where protein vibration sensors on the cell membrane pick up a signal and interpret it as an invader, only works because the body recognizes something it’s never seen before.”

As to increases in brain tumors tied to cell phone use, it’s too early to tell due to a lack of hard data, says Dr. Carlo. “We’re never going to see that in time to have it matter. Here in the US, we’re six years behind in getting the brain tumor database completed, and currently the best data are from 1999. By the time you see any data showing an increase, the ticking time bomb is set.”

Epidemic curve projections, however, indicate that in 2006, we can expect to see 40,000 to 50,000 cases of brain and eye cancer. This is based on published peer-reviewed studies that allow calculation of risk and construction of epidemic curves. By 2010, says Dr. Carlo, expect that number to be between 400,000 and 500,000 new cases worldwide.

“This means we’re on the beginning curve of an epidemic, with epidemic defined as a change in the occurrence of a disease that is so dramatic in its increase that it portends serious public health consequences,” says Dr. Carlo. “This is what’s not being told to the public. One of the things that I suggest to people who use a cell phone is to use an air tube headset. If you use a wired headset, the current moving through the wire of the headset attracts ambient informational carrying radio waves and thereby increases your exposure.”

The Giant oF Octupus

it is about the giant squid.

The giant Pacific octopus is an amazing looking creature. They grow larger than any other octopus breed, with an average size of 9 to 16 feet (2.7 to 4.9 meters) and an average weight of 22 to 110 pounds (10 to 50 kilograms). The largest giant pacific octopus ever recorded was 30 ft. (91.4 meters) long and had a weight of 600 pounds (272.2 kilograms). Unlike humans, male giant Pacific octopus grow faster than females, but normally end up smaller. The average arm span of a giant Pacific octopus is 14 feet and the average arm length is 8 feet.

Giant Pacific octopus have a large bulbous head and 8 arms (referred to as arms not tentacles). Giant Pacific octopus have suckers on each arm, which allows them to latch on to surfaces. Giant Pacific octopus also have a large beak that can easily puncture and tear through shells. As a part of its mouth giant Pacific octopus has a barbed tongue, which is able to fish animals like crabs or mollusks out of their shells.  The giant Pacific octopus is of a reddish brow color, but like other species of octopus, they have the ability to change the color of their skin to fit their surroundings.

The giant Pacific octopus’ habitat is quite extraordinary. The giant Pacific octopus lives in places around the Pacific Ocean (hence the name). They mainly live on the coast of Japan, southern California, North America’s Pacific, the Aleutian Islands, and Alaska. They live between shallow waters (below low tide) and depths of 1,500 feet. Giant Pacific octopus live near rocky coastlines and in dens and caves around rocky areas. Small octopus normally build dens in sand shell areas. Most giant Pacific octopus live in deep water from February to April and August to October.

Life Cycle

Although giant Pacific octopus are huge, they did not start off that way. When giant Pacific octopus are born they are eggs. After seven months the eggs hatch into larvae. The larvae then swim to the surface and live as plankton for about 2 months. The ones that survive go to the ocean floor. From that point they grow quickly. Males and females reach maturity between 2 and 3 years of age, at 12 pounds for males and 20 pounds for females. Males transform one arm (normally the third or fifth) into a mating arm. Mating happens between the depths of 65.6 and 328 feet (20 to 100 meters) and takes several hours. The male dies about 2 to 3 months after mating. The female lays 20,000 to 100,000 eggs, which she strings from the ceiling of her den. The female takes care of the eggs by doing things like blowing water on them until they hatch. The female dies shortly after the eggs hatch.

Giant Pacific octopus have a very interesting way of capturing and eating food. Giant Pacific octopus are carnivores and a giant Pacific octopus’ diet consists of shrimp, clams, lobsters, bivalves, crabs, mollusks, and crustaceans. It has been seen that giant Pacific octopus eat sharks, birds, and fish, but it is a rare occurrence. Giant Pacific octopus normally hunt at night. The reason giant Pacific octopus eat animals with shells is because they are easy to catch. They get into the shell with their strong beak like mouth. Then they erode the shell while their saliva detaches the animal from the shell. Then they can pull the animal out with their barbed tongue. Although giant Pacific octopus are large when they are grown, they are still prey to some animals in their egg, larvae, and juvenile form. These animals are the harbor seal, sperm whale, and sea otter.

The environment is God's gift that is invaluable to the well-being of life. Humans depends on the natural resources of the earth. God has created the universe and to the prosperity human balanced. Wide earth turned into human dwellings, mountains as cookers earth, plants as a source of food and medicine to life, as is the wide range of animals and creatures in the ocean. Uncontaminated environment gives us a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. In addition to providing comfort to humans, it is also to some extent be affected by the activities of the development environment in the country if we do not properly cared for.

Trees reduce the urban heat island effect through evaporative cooling and reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches parking lots and buildings. This is especially true in areas with large impervious surfaces, such as parking lots of stores and industrial complexes.

Trees improve our air quality by filtering harmful dust and pollutants such as ozone, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide from the air we breathe.

Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe.

Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding.

Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals.

8. The Malaysia government could learn a lot from Japan 2011 tsunami.

In Malaysia, we pay less attention on the important aspects. For example the Government of Malaysia should learn a lot from the Japanese tsunami due to take early prevention before occurrence of natural disasters.However there three main factors the Malaysia government learn a lot from Japan namely, emergency plans, sharing information and tsunami warning system.

The first thing is about emergency plans. We should have a plan before the desired time something is going on in Malaysia.Example, if there is something that happens we already have a plan to solve the problems that will happen easily and not panic when it happens .So, we must prepard something before happen.

The second thing is sharing information. Beside that, we must collect anything information about natural disasters that occur outside the country because we need that information to ready for something bad happen for our country.So, we need share information we have with everyone to they ready.

The last thing is tsunami warning system. We don’t know when the natural disaster happen but we could do something before that something happen. Example, we can bulid tsunami warning system in our country for ready from another happen.

Conclusion, we must ready from bad thing happen in our country and not become panic when that things happen in our country because we prepared to do .

V-blogging or video blogging is a form of blog for which the medium is video and is a form of web televion.In Malaysia, v-blogging or video blogging be a trade and was known among lovers blog. However there three main factor do the V-blogging or video blogging namely leisure, business and communication.

The first is about leisure. Those interested in video blogging to hang out there than do the non-beneficial by teenagers nowadays. They use leisure time do the video blogging and share with thie friend. They also can do the video blogging with they friends.

The second is about business. With the video blogging they can make business. Example, the make some advertisement about they company, product and quality the product and show the video to the public and attract them to buy the product you're selling.So with video blogging also you’ll can make some pocket money.

The last is about communication. Communication is someone talk with another person to share something interesting story. In v-blogging could also communicate with many friends and can make them become our friends. We also can understand many language with di v-blogging.

When we need find the meaning, we must find the meaning in dictionary and we find what the meaning we need.However there three main factors the dictionary is essential in language learning namely, spelling, vocabulary, and pronunciation

Firstly is about spelling. We all know, when we learn about English language the first step is know the spelling. When we know the spelling we can speak slow and understand the meaning. We also can write with the spelling word we know and another ways we can spelling like the sing children song because we can spelling the easy word.

Secondly is about vocabulary. Vocabulary is all the words that we know or that are used in a particular book. Vocabulary also one of the most important things to learn english because vocabulary can make we speak correctly with use the right vocabulary. When we know vocabulary and the meaning, we can talk with english language correctly.

Lastly is pronunciation, we must always practice to use a good pronunction so that no one purpose and not be angry with the language we use to communicate with them. Accurate pronunciation exact meaning in every sentence we say.

Conclusion, we should use dictionary very well because in dictionary many meaning and bring something useful for our life to use the dictionary. We must bring dictionary when we enter the english classroom.

Television entertainment program is available on the television for all people who favored television entertainment. In Malaysia, many television program likely singer audition, anime, movie, drama and other entertainment. However there three main factors the disadvantages of such television programmes namely, escapism, waste of time and waste of money.

Firstly, the disadvantages of such television programmes is escapism. Many television program escapism for statement. Example, television program not follow standard provided. Also they always show the wrong statement and they fired up a story so that they can improve populority among society.

Secondly, the disadvantages of such television programmes is waste the time. When someone watching television, they will forget and complacent to do a proper job, especially childrens and teenagers. Children always watch cartoon or anime, reach them complacent to make school work given by the teacher. When they go school and their teacher ask to send they homework, they all say no finshed the homework because watching television.

Lastly, the disadvantages of such television programmes is waste of money. Some tevision programmes has to pay the bil likely astro channel. Also they waste money to pay electrice bill because too long watching television.

Conclusion, we should be good at dividing that moment wasted time can be used and not just look at the television program without taking cerite good in a watch and just see entertainment only.

Crime something which is illegal and which people are punished. In Malaysia, we always heard many crime such as stealing, snatching, murder and others.However there three main factors why the crime seemms rampant nowadays namely, habit, poverty, and peer pressure.

The why this crime seems rampant nowadays beacause habit. When someone always do the crime, they become habits to commit a crime. They thinks not have work to they do other than crime. So,they take easy ways to get money like do shoplifting and they hurt innocent person. They also do not mind the punishment to be imposed.

      Beside that, poverty is also an issue of why extended theft in our country now. They thinks when they not have poverty, they have only one ways to get money likely the thief and other crime to get money.They not thinks about self and they family who worry about their condition. They just think, when get money they can enjoy and fun with they money get. They also can become arrogant with they self.

Furthemore, peer presure also be the cause of why the crime in our country. We always heard, we must choice a good friends not a friend who brought us to do criminal. Also, we should choice friend careful so we do not follow their behavior.

Conclusion, we not should do crime because when we do that we always thinks about that and want to do that thing again. Also, we should thinks people we love and always bring the self to God.

3. The advantages of continuing your studies after SPM.

SPM is the acronym for the Certificate Malaysia.SPM taken lessons at the age of a person aged 17 tahun.SPM must take to determine the future of someone. Sometime they thing SPM not important for their life and they just not care about their result.

 However there three main factor the advantages of continuning your studies after SPM namely, high motivation, financial support from parents, and friends from the same ages group.

The advantages of continuing your studies after SPM is must have a high motivation because when we not have high motivation, we cannot through ways to IPTA motivation and confidence to be the best student.

Beside that, the advantages of continuing your studies after SPM is financial support from parents.When we continue our studies, our parents bear all we need to get into a IPTA or IPTS. Also, we always get allowances from our parents to buy food and print our work. So, we don’t worry when we studies because our parents give financial to us.

Another advantages of continuing your studies after SPM is friends from the same ages group. When we get in to IPTA or IPTS, we can meet many friends from any state, culture and the important is the same ages group. Example, we can see different languanges likely when we have friend from penang, kelantan or other state, we can hear they diaelek when they speak.

Conclusion, advantages to continue our studies is very good for our future and get the good work. We also can help our parents, when we get the good result for our studies and be useful person.

In this era globalization, we can see a lot of benefits that can be obtained through presentation of activities in schools and in the universities often get extensive coverage in the mass media in our country. Accordingly, all behalf must be committed to help increase self-confidence in students through presentation of activities. The question is, do we know, what are the benefits of doing presentation activities? According to the study of human psychology in the guidance and unit counseling, one of the advantages of this presentation of activities are able to improve fluency in communication, can build self-confidence and improves social interaction in communication between people.

Proverb had said Speech is a mirror of the mind. So, it suitable with discussion about the benefits of doing a presentation is can improve fluency in communication. This is because, prior to the presentation of the activity, students will practice the information to be presented in a way memorized and understand and adapt the information in front of a mirror, so that they can give a good explanation to the public. Further, to facilitate the use of simple language and better, teens can use Microsoft PowerPoint because by using this application it easier for young people to understand and explain what they want to convey. It is evident that, the presentation of activities can improve fluency students' in communication.

At the same time, with the presentation activity can build self-confidence of youth. However, it is not easy to make ourselves always self-confidence and open-minded, but hold on a pearl said that if others can do it, why cannot we do? By being so students will be able to interact in a spontaneous and self-confident of his abilities that they have. Through the activities of this presentation can also eliminate fear and shame when you want to confronted with the public. 1. Act of charity should be encouraged among teenagers

The definition of charity is an organization that collects money to help people who are poor, sick, etc or to do work that is useful to society.Teenagers in Malaysia now rarely perform an act of charity and often waste of time doing thing like hanging out, or other. However there three main factors of charity should be encouraged among teenagers namely, empathy, respect, and grateful.

Firstly is empathy.Empathy is how another person understand what your feeling. As a teenagers must have some empathy for someone in need. Example, when we see our friend in trouble. We must give some help and ask what they problem so they not alone to solve the problem.

Next the charity should be encouraged among teenager is respect. Respect is to show care for or pay attention. As a teenager, we must respect people older than us so they do not call it our not being shall have the sole language of the elderly. Example, we should give respect to our parents and older people

.

Last point is grateful. Grateful is some feeling or showing thanks for someone. We should feel grateful for what we have and do not feel greedy with what we have now. We should thank God for giving favors best.
